Montenegro is a little country situated southwards of Dubrovnik, known by it‘s history and tourism. Kotor is a town in Montenegro which is on UNESCO‘s list of protected and significant monuments in the world, surrounded by long city walls. First it was a Greek village all the way from 3rd century BC, and a Byzantine property through history.

Travelling through Kotor bay we stop at little old city Perast. Near Perast there are two islets: one is called Sveti Đorđe (St. George) and the other Gospa od Škrpjela (Our lady of the rocks), and each has a picturesque chapel.
Kotor bay has its other well preserved medieval towns of Risan, Tivat, Prčanj and Herceg Novi, along with their natural surroundings, are major tourist attractions. Natural and Cultuto-historical region of Kotor has been a World heritage site since 1979. The religious heritage of the land around the bay — its numerous Orthodox and Catholic churches and monasteries — makes it one of the major pilgrimage sites of the region.

There is a little village called Njeguši situated above Kotor in which you can try the best smoked ham and cheese in Montenegro as well as other homemade products like honey, wine, grappa visiting the families and private houses which make these products.

Budva is also a city in Montenegro, and is considered the oldest city on Mediterranean. It‘s known by lots of historical monuments, churches and forts. Near Budva is St. Stefan which is an island connected to the coast and is the most luxury resort in Montenegro. It was a fishing village through history, surrounded with city walls forming a fort. In 1955. it was transformed into a city hotel and the people living inside moved away.
